Privacy Policy

Pulse helps Shopify merchants understand where their store and products appear in AI search answers, then prepare fixes the merchant can review and publish. This policy explains what data we process to provide that service.

Information we process

When you install Pulse, Shopify shares store information needed to run the app, including your shop domain, store name, contact information, product catalog data, pages, metafields, and app billing status. We also store the competitors, prompts, recommendations, audit results, and fixes created inside Pulse.

How we use information

We use this information to audit your AI visibility, generate recommendations, write Shopify-ready fixes, track changes over time, provide support, prevent abuse, secure the app, and operate billing. We do not sell merchant data.

Product and acquisition analytics

Pulse records limited first-party events such as landing-page views, install progress, onboarding completion, scans, and merchant-approved fixes so we can understand whether the product works. Before install, the browser receives only an opaque signed identifier; campaign details are stored on our server. We reject analytics payloads that include raw shop domains, email addresses, prompt text, or other unexpected properties.

AI providers and subprocessors

Pulse may send limited store, product, prompt, and competitor context to AI and data providers so the app can classify your catalog, check AI answers, and draft fixes. We send only the context needed for that task and do not intentionally send customer personal data.

Customer data

Pulse is built for store and product visibility work. The app does not need to read or store full customer lists to provide its core service. If Shopify webhooks or support requests require us to handle personal information, we process it only for the requested purpose.

Retention and deletion

We keep app data while your store uses Pulse and for a limited period after uninstall so we can handle recovery, support, billing, and legal obligations. You can request deletion of your app data at any time. Shopify privacy webhooks are handled according to Shopify requirements.

Anonymous acquisition records expire after 30 days. Product analytics joined to an installed store are retained for up to 400 days and are removed with the store record when Shopify sends a shop-redaction request, subject to any legal retention requirement.

Security

We use access controls, encrypted transport, scoped Shopify access, and operational monitoring to protect app data. No internet service is perfect, but we design Pulse so generated changes remain in Shopify fields you control.
